Chassis Frame: 15cm structural channel with 10cm channel supports, designed for stability and strength.  Entire frame shall be primed and painted for complete rust protection

Brakes: 12V and self-adjusting for ease of maintenance and safety.

Tow Bar: 109cm long x 10cm x 10cm tubing x 0.95cm wall thickness with 2.5cm thick welded steel plate for towing height adjustment.  Pintle ring shall be 6.35cm I.D. minimum; adjustable for height.

Fuel Tank: Minimum 95 liter; strapped and bolted to the frame for easy removal; including drain plug and lockable filler cap cover.

Lighting: 12 Volt system and conform to DOT standards; taillights shall be a sealed system, shock mounted to frame with grommets.  Brake and turn lights shall be located on top of the infeed.  All wiring shall be protected within a non-corrosive abrasion resistant, shielded loom.

Jack Stand: 3,175kg capacity; bolted to the frame, with pinned drop leg and footpad for added stability.

Paint: All exposed areas shall be covered with industrial strength primer and painted with industrial strength, lead free, urethane paint for enhanced rust protection.  Standard color shall be John Deere industrial yellow DuPont Imron.

Chipper Shaft: [ASTM A311] stepped 5.5cm diameter to 6.2cm, solid steel and be fully machined to exact tolerances.

Feed Plate Anvil: Steel construction, custom fitted, adjustable with 2 usable edges.

Chipper Cutting System: A combination of a steel disc measuring no less than102cm diameter by 2.5cm thick at the outer periphery, and an attached tapered drum with no less than 2 knives and 2 chip pockets positioned on the outer surface and 180º apart.  The disc shall have at least 2 openings on the face of the disc at the outer rim, allowing for the passage of chips.  The disc shall also have no less than four fan blades, 15cm x 15cm for creating air and throwing chips.  The tapered drum shall be directly welded to the disc on the largest diameter surface of the drum and concentric to the outer rim of the disc.  Said tapered drum shall be no less than 36cm diameter at the small end, and 71cm diameter at the large end.

Chipper knives: Two (2) knife pockets, each containing one(1) 25cm L x 12.7cm W x 1.6cm T, A8 steel knives.

Chipper Housing: 1.27cm plate steel welded to a 0.635cm plate steel bellyband that conforms to the shape of the chipping mechanism.

Discharge: Rotate 360° and easily lock into various positions without tools; shall have a trap door strategically positioned for easy access to dislodge clogs without tools; shall have hand operated chip deflector usable without tools.

Capacity: Minimum chipper throat opening 38cm high by 64cm wide with a total cutting width of 41cm.

Feed Rate: 30m per minute unless otherwise specified.

Hydraulic Tank: Minimum of 57 liter capacity with a magnetic drain plug and mesh strainer at the opening; and lockable filler cap cover.

Hydraulic Hose: All high pressure hydraulic hoses shall be minimum 175kg/sq.cm industrial grade construction with wear and spray guards in applicable areas; shall have female JIC 37° flare fittings.

Filtration System: 10 micron, spin-on, return line filter.

Feed System: Hydraulic feed system shall consist of one(1) horizontally mounted 60cm long feed wheel with sharpened carbon steel blades for superior gripping & wrap prevention as material is pulled into the chipping drum; feed wheel shall be 38cm in diameter with 5cm diameter shaft; feed wheel shall be driven with a hydraulic operated planetary gear drive with 10,000kg per inch output torque; 5 to 1 reduction; feed shall have 2 adjustable springs to ensure adequate down pressure.

In-feed: Table shall be constructed of plate steel 0.635cm thick for durability; shall be 178cm wide by 96cm high at chute opening and tapered to 46cm high x 64cm wide at the feed wheel.

Drum Bearings: Chipper bearings shall be 5.5cm and 6.2cm spherical, high speed; 6 bolt USAF pillow block housing rated at: dynamic 15,870kg; radial 2,000kg with 10,000 hour service life.

Chipper Drive: Drive belt shall be 4 groove 5V sheaves coupled with one (1) 4-banded belt.

Controls: All controls shall be located curbside for operator safety during engine start-up and PTO engagement

Shields: All shields shall be constructed of 12 gauge steel and positioned to form a complete housing covering all moving parts including drive belts and chipper housing to insure operator safety, protect machine from fallen material, suppress dust, and dampen noise; shield shall be securely fastened to the machine and totally bolted together using grade 8 bolts.
